Board of Directors Meeting

The meeting was called to order by President Kay Randazzo at 1:00 P.M.
The minutes of the last meeting dated January 15, 2008 were accepted by C. Brennan and second by J. Rickert. Ayes all.
Treasurer’s report:
ARB:W. Horsewood reported on the manager’s account and financial summary. There is no financial report for January. Wayne asked the board’s permission that he not give a presentation at the annual meeting, but will answer questions from the audience. J. Rickert motions to accept Wayne’s request and C. Brennan seconds. Ayes all. 2008 budget information will be handed out to all residents at the annual meeting. Wayne also states that he is leaving soon as our treasurer and our association will need a replacement as soon as possible.
The following were submitted by the ARB for board approval:
L. Bulat motions to accept the recommendation of the ARB. J. Rickert seconds. Ayes all.
Ann Flynn has objected to the Ruffing plans for an addition & pool for various reasons. After much discussion and other residents’ input, L. Bulat rescinded his motion and approved all recommendations excluding the Ruffing plans until more information is available and approval from the county. J. Rickert seconds. Ayes all.
Suggestions/complaints:
A. Joyce Durr is concerned about the child living in our community. The letter sent to the violating resident from our lawyer was reviewed with the board members. The resident is asking for another extension. Our lawyer will send another letter with a time frame. The lawyer also suggested that Kay Randazzo and Randall Hartline visit the resident. C. Brennan motions to accept this visitation and J. Rickert seconds. Ayes all.
L. Bulat motions to give the resident 90 (ninety) days to resolve the situation. C. Brennan seconds. Ayes all.
B. J. Furgasso stated in a letter that since the Rivera Rascals have changed their name and are no longer associated with RGE that they should pay for the use of our clubhouse for their dances like everyone else. They also have unused equipment stored in our buildings. C. Brennan motions to charge the usual rental fee of $225 and $50 to be returned if the clubhouse is left decently. J. Rickert seconds. Ayes all.
C. Mr. Kuczynski is complaining of deteriorating curbing and general disarray of his cul de sac and others due to the garbage trucks running over the curbs. IPM representative, Randall Hartline, is looking into this with the county, etc.
D. Mr. Seagraves is complaining of an unkempt lawn next to his mother’s home that is for sale. Randall will check on the property.
E. Bobby Schweikert states there is problem at our coffee hour with selling of tickets. Too many people are showing up very early to buy tickets and then later there are none left to buy. After much discussion it was suggested that we start the sale of the tickets at 8:30 AM. L. Bulat motion to start the sale of the tickets at 8:30 AM beginning in April 2008. C. Brennan seconds. Ayes all.
F. Mr. & Mrs. G. Smith state their neighbor has not been caring for her lawn. This is mentioned in the following notes from the violations committee.
Old Business:
A. Annual Meeting…Kay stated the police department and Donna Fiala will speak at our meeting after the elections.
B. Empty lots…letters were sent to the owners of the 3 (three) properties that are vacant. All owners have responded stating the properties are for sale and the prices have been adjusted to market value.
New Business:
A. Violations report:
Jean Smith property…several violations never resolved. L. Bulat motions to follow standard procedure with fines. K. Randazzo seconds. Ayes all.
Delaney…light violation…resident has never paid the original $100 fine. Another letter will be sent to the resident to pay the $100 within 10 days. If no response, L. Bulat motions to follow usual procedure with fines. K. Randazzo seconds. Ayes all.
Zulkowski…maintenance of residence violation…C. Brennan motions to follow standard procedure with fines. J. Rickert seconds. Ayes all.
B. Crystal ball for the dances…a request was made that the ball becomes a permanent fixture. We will get bids for electrical installation.
C. Bulletin board lights…K. Randazzo is asking for lights to be put above the bulletin boards. Randall will look into the cost and purchase.
