REMINDERS TO THE RESIDENTS
The "NO SMOKING" signs are in place and apply to all residents and their guests. This rule has been passed by the Board of Directors and includes all Riviera buildings and grounds.
POOL NOTICE
Swimmers, we are required by the County to leave the rope across the pool. After finishing your laps, please connect it in place as you found it. Summer has arrived and our pool area is very busy, please read all of the posted rules and have your guests read them, also. These rules are for every ones safety and enjoyment. Be mindful, anyone fifteen (15) years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Our management company will be checking properties regularly. Many lawns are looking brown and unattended. We must not wait for the summer showers to start, it is easier to keep your lawn looking nice than to repair it, later. The suggestion has been made to apply fertilizer just prior to your regular sprinking day. This will be a big help to keep your lawn healthy and is most helpful for weed control. Be mindful that if your house number is an odd number, your sprinkling days are Wednesdays and Saturdays, even numbers are Thursdays and Sundays.
Just a friendly reminder to all residents that your Quarterly Maintenance Fees for the Third (3rd) Quarter are due on or before August 1, 2011. Be sure your payment is on time to avoid a late charge.
Please note that there will be no August Board of Directors Meeting.
There is no newsletter delivery for July, August, or September. You may pick up your newsletter at the Clubhouse. It is always ready before our "first Saturday on the month" Coffee Hour.
Be aware that our hurricane season is upon us, check your property again for loose items that might be threatening to you or your neighbor
Stay Cool !!
Bruce Kean, for the Board of Directors
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD (ARB)
PLEASE NOTE: Since there will be NO Board of Directors meeting in August, if you anticipate needing approval for a project prior to the September 27th meeting, please submit your ARB application no later than Wednesday morning, July 20,2011 to be ruled on by the Board at the July 26th meeting
Effective May 1st, 2011, the Board of Directors eased some of the requirements for ARB applications. A sample of the revised ARB application with the new requirements listed on the back (or second page) of the form can be found on-line at www.RivieraGolfEstates.org. Of course, copies are in the Clubhouse, too. If you are in doubt about whether or not you need to submit an ARB request, you are urged to submit one. If not necessary, you will be notified promptly.
The Collier County Public Utilities Division is currently installing the Cross-Connection Control Device throughout our community. The device may be painted, but green or black paint is usual. By law, you may NOT paint it purple or red. And... the device may NOT be covered in any way. It is important for you to note the requirements for landscaping around the device. Basically, plants no closer than 18" without thorns or sharp leaves are the only permissible means of camouflage the pipes. And a 36" opening on one side is required.

CLUB MEETINGS
COMPUTER TIP OF THE MONTH:If your PC won't start up, or you cannot turn it off, or if it seems "stuck" you might be able to resolve the problem by forcing it to shut down, that is, hold the power (on/off button) down until the screen goes blank and all the lights are off. Let the machine stay off for about 10 minutes, then go back and try to start it up again. Often this simple process will resolve the issue. Of course, if it happens repeatedly, you need to have the PC looked at by an expert. And this method should not be used to turn the PC off when there is no problem.
