ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD (ARB)
PLEASE NOTE: All ARB application requests to be reviewed at the January Board meeting, Tuesday, January 24th, 2012, should be submitted, no later than, Wednesday morning, January 18th, 2012.
Effective May 1, 2011, the Board of Directors eased some of the requirements for ARB applications. A sample of the revised ARB application with the new requirements listed on the back of the form can be found on-line at www.RivieraGolfEstates.org. Of course, copies are in the Clubhouse, too. If you are in doubt about whether or not you need to submit an ARB request, you are urged to submit one. If not necessary, you will be notified, promptly.
The Collier County Public Utilities Division is currently installing the Cross-Connection Control Device throughout our community. The device may be painted, but green or black paint is usual. By law, you may NOT paint it purple or red. And…the device may NOT be covered in any way. It is important for you to note the requirements for landscaping around the device. Basically, plants, no closer than 18”, without thorns or sharp leaves, are the only permissible means to camouflage the pipes and a 36” opening on one side is required.

RIVIERA CARE WEAR
Happy New Year to all our neighbors! A great New Year’s resolution would be to dust of your knitting needles and crochet hooks and participate in the Riviera CareWear community program. We work at home at our own pace and I coordinate the distribution each month of the labors of our love.
Two dozen baby hats, booties and Santa toys were dropped off in December and lap robes were distributed to Lely Palms Retirement community. Lely Palms shared with us what they do with the donated lap robes. Each lap robe is blessed by the minister that comes for Sunday services and is given to someone going to the hospital, the rehab facility or to hospice. A lovely card is given with the lap robe bearing the good wishes and prayers for the recipient.
Although Marilyn Malinowski dropped off close to 4 dozen hats and another resident, Helene Verrault donated a dozen booties, we need more volunteers to make knitted or crocheted baby hats, booties and toys to meet our need. If you need yarn, needles, hooks, patterns or just a refresher course on knitting or crocheting give me a call 213-1690. Completed items can be dropped off at my home 770 Charlemagne Blvd.
Irene Paliulis, 213-1690
