Board of Directors present:President Len Bulat, Kay Randazzo, Jerry Rickert, Shirley Romano, Joe Furgasso, Bill Cannon, Secretary, Rose-Mary Bulat
Board of Directors absent:Bruce Kean
The meeting was called to order by President Len Bulat at 9:00 A.M.
This special meeting was called in order to review our current problems with the pool heating system. L. Bulat discussed the feasibility of installing an electric heat pump in lieu of one of the propane fired heaters. The warranty of a propane unit is only one year. The warranty of an electric heat pump is five years parts and labor and an unlimited warranty on the heat exchanger. The initial cost of installing a state-of-the-art electric heat pump would be more expensive than the propane; however, the cost savings in the long run would justify this installation. A motion was made by J. Furgasso not to spend any more than $10,000 for the unit and the installing of electrical lines and shut-offs for a new heat pump in the future. It was also motioned to accept the bid from Sweetwater Pool Service who will be installing an electric heat pump. Second by J. Rickert. Ayes all.
L. Bulat reviewed two different bids for concrete installation to replace the grass/weeds area along the pool equipment storage room. All board members gave their opinion and it was determined to vote on this at the next scheduled board meeting.
L. Bulat motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:25 A.M. B. Cannon second. Ayes all.
