Board of Directors Meeting

Board of Directors present:President Len Bulat, Pam Mullins, Paul Langford, Joe Furgasso, Bill Cannon, Ken Seppelt, Treasurer, Walter Rowland, Compass Group representative, Bob Delaney, secretary, Rose-Mary Bulat
Board of Directors absent: Bruce Kean

The meeting was called to order by President Len Bulat at 1:30 P.M.
The minutes of the last meeting dated March 23, 2010 were accepted by J. Furgasso and second by P. Langford. Ayes all.
Treasurer’s report:Walter Rowland reported on the highlights of the balance sheet, manager’s account, operating statement and financial summary.

B. Cannon motions to accept the ARB recommendations. P. Mullins seconds. Ayes all.
Suggestions/complaints:
- 1. 104 Champagne Ct...property in need of lawn maintenance. The initial violation letter has been sent and the situation will be followed up.
- 2. Residents at 434 and 436 Riviera Blvd. W. have sent letters regarding a continuing problem with the golf course property behind their homes. A letter has been sent to the golf course owner(s) and they responded, saying the problem will be taken care of as soon as the water has depleted from the swale.
Old Business:
- 1. Electric power line to Annex. Everything is still pending with the fire department and county.

- 2. Asphalt/paving of the parking area...B. Delaney states the paving is scheduled for the first or second week of May, 2010.

- 3. Fitness update...parts have arrived and waiting to be installed.

- 4. Dumpster gates...gates are now installed and locked.

- 5. Computer Club projector..Dwight Kehoe stated a vendor will be arriving today to discuss this project. He also stated the Men’s Club members have agreed to contribute up to $1000 for the screen. The Computer Club has indicated that they would donate an additional $2500 towards the screen and projector. Dwight asked how much money the board would be willing to contribute and L. Bulat stated that we would need to see and review the bids before making a decision.
New Business:
- 1. Shuffleboard courts...in need of repair...Tony Romano is getting bids and Compass Group will also seek bids.

- 1. Lois Tharp asked about the completion of the cul-de-sac on Riviera Blvd. W

- 2. Cliff Lingsch asked if there will be board meetings during the summer.

- 3. Arnie Hendricks asked if there was any news about the walking path adjacent to the canal… (no information known as yet)
Director's Input:
- P. Langford said the extra tables have been moved to the annex to make more space for the storage area in the clubhouse

- P. Mullins stated the last dance raised $499 for the curtain/kitchen fund

- B. Cannon produced copies of our phone book in address order. He also suggested the front doors be unlocked (for safety purposes) during clubhouse functions. All board members agreed.

- L. Bulat showed everyone a new sign "Additional Parking for Clubhouse". This will be put up as soon as the asphalt project is complete. The sign is needed to advise some residents who park on the grass and cause sprinkler head damage.

- He also met with the pool company today because the pool was using excessive gas to heat it. The electric heater is down on Freon and will be repaired under warranty.
